Consistently well reviewed, the Arora International offers a pleasing contrast between its traditional exterior and stylish modern interior. Guests frequently commend the helpfulness of the staff and the generous size of the rooms.
Opened in 2004 by co-owner Sir Cliff Richard, the Arora Hotel is housed in a converted 19th-century wool mill. The interior features contemporary design yet maintains the unique character of this Grade 2 listed building. There’s a small lounge to the rear of the lobby where tea/coffee and light snacks are served. The 141 spacious, contemporary guestrooms are decorated in cool neutral colour schemes, enlivened by splashes of deep red or purple and complemented by leather easy chairs, subtle modern art and immensely comfortable “Cloud 9” beds. All are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms with power showers. The hotel’s award-winning Obsidian Bar & Restaurant offers adventurous, flavour-driven cuisine, based on local ingredients and fused with the finest international influences.
